Jade Gemstone is a term that envelops an assortment of gemstones, yet the main pure forms types of jade are jadeite and nephrite. The historical backdrop of jade returns a few thousand years when jade gemstone was first used to make weapons and instruments due to its strength. The Mayans and Aztecs respected jade exceptionally and the name “jade” begins from the Spanish “piedra de ijada”, signifying “stone for the torment in the side”.
